Born to Darkness
An Instrumental Black Sisters Fanmix
Prologue. Three sisters, born in darkness, raised as one. They were all so different yet the same at heart; loved one another fiercely, promised to remain together, always, promised to never change. But time's cruel hands were longing to tear them apart... And it would, no matter how desperately they attempted to refuse, no matter how many hearts would break into thousands and thousands of pieces, never to be mended.
from "Interview With The Vampire"
Bellatrix. She would fight. Would fight fiercely for a better life, weather any storm that lay ahead of her, would fight for her sisters and protect them. She would fight, for her family, and for the world they lived in (We Built Our Own World). There was a war coming, and even those who were still foolish enough to deny it would soon realise that nothing would be like before, nothing at all. Had Bellatrix once loved her sisters more than anything else, now war had become her only purpose (Sisters Of Battle), and she would not surrender, not until their enemies were defeated. She was blind, others whispered behind her back, closed her eyes to the truth and could not see that she was fighting in a battle long lost (Ash and Smoke). What fools they were... Even her sister implored her to surrender, but she wouldn't. Bellatrix would never surrender, never. She would not allow herself to give in. (Farewell 01).
We Built Our Own World (Hans Zimmer)
Sisters. One. Together they would live forever. Together they were invincible, together nothing would be able to harm them. Together they would conquer the world. It was a foolish thing to believe that they were inseparable and yet they did, clung to one another, unwilling to let go, oblivious to the truth, incapable of realising that they had long lost each other. Together they would live forever...
from "The Fountain"
Andromeda. All her life she had longed for freedom. Had longed to be love and to love, had longed to break away and liberate herself from the chains that had held her captive for too long. And yet she wouldn't, wouldn't bear to leave her sisters behind, dared not betray them. But they changed, all of them changed, even Andromeda herself, watched her sisters drift apart until she could no longer stand to watch, until her desire to escape grew sheer intolerable. She loved them, loved her sisters so beyond belief, most of all Cissy, her little Cissy... But she also loved him. They would never forgive her (Gone With Leaves). She would never see them again. But her soul cried to be free, and she followed in a winter's night, leaving behind a letter that would remain unopened (First Snow) until years later, when she had long been forced to pay the price for her unspeakable betrayal (Time). Twice Andromeda had lost her family, twice her whole life had fallen apart, and never would she forget those she loved (Farewell 02) so fiercely.
Sisters. Two. Gone. They were gone. Everything was over. Cygnus and Druella Black, gone. Only they had held the family together, only they had kept everything from breaking into a thousand pieces. The war had claimed two more victims, Father who had fought so fiercely in battle and fallen, and Mother who had lost her life to grief scarcely a week after. Gone. They were gone, their daughters long estranged. Yet they stood there together at their grave, holding hands as their bodies were shaken by silent sobs, as tears came streaming down their faces incessantly, united by their sorrow for one last time as sisters.
from "Interview With The Vampire"
Narcissa. She would do anything for those she loved, would even die. Family meant everything to Narcissa, but the war forced her to watch her whole life crumble from the first moment on. Had she lost her parents already, now she would also lose her sisters, Andromeda at first, and then Bellatrix. Bella, who had long drowned in her fanaticism, and Andy. Andy who had committed such an unspeakable betrayal, who had broken her heart, her longing for love and freedom to be understood yet not to be forgiven. They had once been so close and were now so distant. Only her husband remained, her love, and for him Narcissa would hold on, forever (Until the End). But it seemed so hard to go on, when all she could see was destruction, death and suffering (Dead Bodies), and all she longed for was for her family to be safe, for the war to finally come to an end (Yearning for the Peace). Yet she had no choice; had no other choice than to accept her fate, to accept that nothing would ever be like before, and to remain strong. Strong for her husband and son, and strong for her sisters, whom she would never forget. (Farewell 03).
Until The End (Shigeru Umebayashi)
Epilogue. Three sisters, born in darkness, grown up as one and long drifted apart. Their vows never to leave one another were long forgotten, long faded into nothing; Bellatrix was dead, had fallen in a battle she was destined to lose, not granted the chance to say good-bye to her youngest sister who had been there for her until the end, who had seen her her tumble, eyes wide open with horror. Bellatrix was dead. Andromeda and Narcissa had become strangers, torn apart by society and foolish beliefs. They had become strangers yet never forgot, never lost hope that one day they would be sisters once more. Until then, only the empty walls of their childhood home would remember, would silently echo the story of the sisters who had so desperately yearned yet never seen the light.
